OVERVIEW: Global manufacturer, distributor and leader in their field with decades of expertise, growth and stability seeks a Controller to join their expanding organization.JOB SUMMARY:• Oversee the accounting operations of the company• Assist with preparation of financial reports, partner with external auditors, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk. • Ensure reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and/or international financial reporting standards. • Manage direct and indirect reports both local and regional. • Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.RESPONSIBILITIES:• Responsible for the financial close and preparation of consolidated financial statements• Manage the treasurer operations• Maintain and review account reconciliations • Maintain accounting policies and procedures• Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives• Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiaries, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.• Works closely with operations personnel to ensure adherence to inventory policies and procedures as well as ensuring accurate costing of the products • Issue timely and complete financial statements• Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations• Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics• Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management• Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
